A Bit About Me
Hi! I’m Alison — a southern Vermont transplant, wife to one of the funniest humans, dog mom to the largest set of ears since Dumbo, and owner of Loveland Creative.
I’m a storyteller at heart; sometimes I write with words and other times I use pixels!
Although I dabbled in a few film photography courses, I actually went to school to study Creative Writing. The first time I can recall being head-over-heels excited to snap someone’s photo was back in 2012 when I was asked to capture an NYC proposal. The ability to freeze that moment in time for my newly engaged friends made me feel like I could do magic, and I’ve been dedicated to practicing the craft ever since.
So, what exactly do I prefer pointing my camera at? Just about anything. If you’re getting married, I’ll be your personal photojournalist. If you created something that you’re super proud of (like a baby! or a business!), I’ll help provide you with photos to adorn your walls or feed the social media machine. If you wake up one morning and decide you must have a photoshoot with your dog, I’ll throw some biscuits in my camera bag and meet you at the park.
I’m the Gin(ger) to Your Tonic, If...
Puns make you smile, even if begrudgingly
You can jam to a 90s playlist
You believe life isn’t complete without pets
The outdoors is your happy place
You’re always adding destinations to your bucket list
A bookstore or coffee shop aesthetic is your love language
You can quote Gilmore Girls or Harry Potter like scripture
You’d describe yourself as someone who’s down to earth and loves to laugh
